Many live in poverty and at least 30% live alone, adding layers of uncertainty to already challenging situations. As they arrive at VGH, the last thing on their mind should be giving their only $10 for a place to rest their head. Nancy, the wife of a proud Marine veteran, stayed at VGH while her husband received medical care. Living in a rural town with no family nearby, they struggle to make ends meet each month.
